There are all kinds of ideas about this destruction from both religious and mystical traditions. Some say that we were deliberately destroyed because of our arrogance, pride, loss of compassion etc.
It is said that a group of ‘sages’ survived who reseeded culture in different parts of the world and taught us all the arts of civilization. Here we are and what is the state of humanity today?
I am thinking about the story of Sedna. There are many variations of the myth from different traditions. The ones I resonate with are where she opposed her father’s choice of a mate and because of that he threw her overboard while they were at sea. When she tried to climb back on the boat, he chopped off her fingers so she sank to the bottom. The fingers became seals, whales and walruses which various native groups came to rely on for food.
She is known as Mother of the Sea or Mistress of the Sea.
“In Astrology she represents sacrifice, betrayal, abandonment and survival. This asteroid (dwarf planet) can be linked to our fundamental fears and hurts that have to do with our connections to others and our sense of safety in the world.” From mysticalprophet.com
Since Sedna was discovered in 2003, she has been in the sign of Taurus. Ruled by Venus, this represents among other things, the beauty of the Earth, our values and our caring and nurturing capacity.
I can’t help but think about how badly we have treated the Earth and the Sea. So many species are now extinct because of the modern lifestyle. The Ocean is in a critical state and many huge plastic gyres exist. What will Sedna say to how we have polluted her home?
Sedna is at 0° Gemini and will retrograde back into 29° Taurus in December for about 4 months. There are astrologers who say that Sedna in Gemini will usher in AI in a big way and that this is a good thing since only AI will be able to solve the many environmental problems we have caused.
This feels like a repeat of the destruction of Atlantis. Humans came to rely too much on technology and it resulted in total destruction. We did not have the wisdom then and we surely don’t have it now. If anything, I think we have been dumbed down by the media, numbed out by the food we eat, and dis-empowered in so many ways.
Since this is all happening in my 10th house, I feel it is time for me to speak my truth.
While there is a growing number of people who are waking up, I don’t think we have reached the critical number yet. There are not enough people with the power to do anything to make the changes we need to make.
I believe we are in for some very rocky times ahead. To me, the Covid-19 years were a ‘dry run’ for what is coming. A practice, so to speak. How did you do during the ‘lock-down’?
How can we prepare for the unknown? What did you learn about yourself during the lock-down? What are your strengths and weaknesses? What is absolutely necessary to your health and well-being?
All this back and forth is not uncommon for planets. In this case, since the changes Pluto in Aquarius is likely to bring, I think we are getting opportunities to prepare ourselves.
Personally, I am SO tired of Pluto in Capricorn.
That being said, change is not necessarily good. It can be difficult, even painful.
It remains to be seen.
Many have written about the historical significance of this changIe of signs and the Aquarian periods.
I believe we are at a huge turning point. Gregg Braden talks a lot about this and one thing he said that really hit home for me: paraphrasing..."Use it or lose it". Nature does not create or allow redundancy. If we don't need parts of our body or brain, they will atrophy and disappear.
Mark Jones said yesterday on a Pluto in Aquarius Summit offered through Astrology University: https://www.astrologyuniversity.com/ that children are no longer learning to grip because they don't use writing instruments anymore.
As an artist and crafter, I see this as a serious issue, since being able to hold on to something with my fingers is crucial.
For a year I worked alongside young people at a local junior college and I saw how enamored they are with technology. Actually it alarmed me. One day one young man asked me how was it I was able to answer all the questions that we were asked. Had I worked at the college a long time? My reply: "Because I pay attention to what's going on around me. I ask questions, I listen to what people are saying." "Oh"
It's not that difficult. Humans have been doing it for thousands of years. But in one generation, we seem to be losing it all. I know Covid-19 and the lock-downs had a lot to do with what appears to be the arrested development of our youth. But I think it's more than that. They are not curious. So much information is fed to them via all the tech they are exposed to, they don't develop curiosity. I think they believe that anything important will be delivered to them. THAT is the danger.
Those in charge of the tech will be choosing what is 'important' to know. This one of the major elements of P in A that we have to be aware of. What are we being fed?
