In Evolutionary Astrology the Cancer/Capricorn axis deals with, among other things, the issue of gender. Each of us has a ‘temporary’ gender assignment in a lifetime. And, we will all experience many lifetimes as a woman or as a man. We have to come to view life from all perspectives in order to fully understand it.

Why are we still arguing about who can marry whom, who can love whom? Does that really matter? Does who someone else loves affect your life that much? Does restricting the rights of others make you more free?

Any look at the media will reveal the distortions that have arisen regarding femininity and masculinity. Most people do not match the stereotypes although they spend a lot of time and money trying to. This is all part of conditioned reality.

The Moon is in its home sign of Cancer joined by Jupiter although not conjunct. It is a good time to nurture ourselves, others and what we hold dear. A good time to recognize and value our emotional needs. In order to be balanced human beings we have to acknowledge our emotions.

For years we have been viewing civilization as having resulted from “survival of the fittest.” But recent research indicates that without the nurturing, sharing, and caring that takes place between mother and child, mates, families and other social groups, we could not have survived. That even ‘the lowest animals’ feed each other, comfort each other, and groom each other.

Among the indicators that a society is in collapse is that mothers neglect their children, fathers abandon their families.

The Full Moon is a reflection of the light from the Sun. It is said that God created us so that he/she could see himself/herself reflected in us. If God needs us, how much more so do we need each other?

We have seen how communities come together for mutual aid when there has been a disaster of some kind. Why do we need to wait for a bad thing to happen? Couldn’t we cooperate now before the bad thing happens? We are at a tipping point. Everything we do or don’t do now matters.
