With Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and the asteroid Vesta in Taurus right now, it might be hard to get motivated. If you can, go ahead and indulge yourself in some ‘laziness’ otherwise known as rest. Take a break.
Five retrograde planets adds to the feeling of not being able to get anything done as well. Spring, which starts with the Sun’s ingress into Aries, is usually a time to move forward with projects and plans that have been simmering through the winter. This year, it feels like “ready, set, go….stop”. After all the energy of Aries we are being asked to pull ourselves back with all these retrogrades.
I have been having a lot of ‘re-plays’ in the past week, including, refund, redo, reject, repeat, rectify, remember, react and reincarnation. A lot of opportunities to observe myself when my forward motion is thwarted or when something that seemed so right ends up being so wrong.
I found that by asking for what I wanted in a situation…I actually could get it, in spades. In the past, I would have just sucked it up and gone away mad or disappointed. It’s good to see that we actually can and do change what we thought were ingrained patterns of behavior that were not healthy. I can also now recognize unhealthy behavior in others.
Now that I have resumed (another ‘re’ word) my practice of New and Full Moon posts, I see just how fast time passes. I see in how many ways my state is conditioned by the actions in the sky.
Today I was listening to a radio show where someone said that the youth are beginning to become activated as we were in the ‘60s and that this has been lacking since then. I thought “of course, it’s the result of the series of Uranus/Pluto squares we went through in the last few years”. The things that started in the ‘60s when Uranus and Pluto were conjunct are now being revisited (another ‘re’ word). It is also the growing challenges Pluto in Capricorn is bringing about. Don’t these people know about astrology? Geez!
I realized how much astrology informs my life, how I take comfort in knowing ‘it’s not me’, but this or that transit. What a powerful tool to have in my backpack.
