The Full Moon Lunar eclipse in Aries/Libra heats up the relationships issue. Even if you think you are not in one….think about all the beings you interact with on a daily basis. The clerk at the check-out counter, the mail carrier, the teller at the bank, these are all relationships. In fact, you cannot live without interacting with other human beings. Not to mention the animals and plants. Then, of course, there is our relationship with the Earth herself. And last, but not least, our relationship with ourselves, often the most neglected relationship of all.
Stephanie Austin in The Mountain Astrologer April/May issue says about this Lunar Eclipse:
“During a lunar eclipse, the Full Moon slowly dims as it passes through the Earth’s shadow. This temporary blockage of the light stirs up what has been in the unconscious, increasing awareness of our deepest motivations and fears. What do we really want? What’s holding us back?”
Some say that eclipses open portals since they occur when planetary bodies are in exact alignment acting as keys in locks. Another article in the same issue of The Mountain Astrologer by Sandra-Leigh Serio says that the solar eclipse that occurred just before your birth within six months of your birth represents the time the soul enters the fetus with a specific function and purpose. The PNE, as it is termed, indicates the karmic path of the soul. According to her article, I would say this is the dharma of the soul rather than the karma. This being the case, the lunar eclipse before birth represents the karma the soul is coming in with from past lives.
With all the astrology conferences and webinars I have been attending lately, I am on overload. It will take me months just to assimilate the Santa Fe Experience with Alan Oken and I was only there 3 days! http://www.alanoken.com/
The International Astrology Day conference in San Francisco focused mainly on Neptune (see for recordings). http://ncgrsanfrancisco.org/IADSF2014.html
On top of all that, I went to SF yesterday for a workshop on Venus Star Rising with Arielle Guttman sponsored by NCGR. http://www.sophiavenus.com/index.html
Things are really cooking for me and I’m sure, for you as well. I have so many books to read, projects planned and started and ideas popping in my head I feel stressed out by my own created world. Welcome to the Grand Cross in Cardinal Signs Workshop!
Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn LOVE to start things. The planets in these signs now are: Uranus in Aries, Jupiter in Cancer. Mars in Libra, Pluto in Capricorn. The Hot Degree is 13, so depending on which planets or asteroids you have at those degrees (or within a couple of degrees of orb), this transit will be more or less triggering you. Even if you have nothing in these positions, you will be affected.
For me, transiting Jupiter is conjunct natal Venus (expanding my ‘needs and desires’) and transiting Mars in conjunct my natal Neptune (stimulating my inner mystic to dive deeper), transiting Uranus is opposing natal Neptune (inspiring and lighting a fire in my soul) and transiting Pluto is opposing natal Venus (asking me what is my deepest desire, my true path and what am I going to DO about it). Very exciting, but definitely affecting my finances (books and workshops are not free).
I have just been too busy evolving to write! Decided I had to sit down, calm myself and produce today. It can’t all stay up in the brain. It has to manifest.
This upcoming Full Moon Eclipse in Aries is like a launching pad. Make sure to fasten your seat belts for the ride. My suggestions for getting the most out of this time period is to take the time to notice what makes your soul sing, what helps you ground and stay present, and what is twinkling on the horizon.
During a strong period of Cardinality like we are now in, many things could be started. Don’t worry about finishing them. The most important thing is to act. The Fixed signs that follow all Cardinal signs are the ones who decide which ones are worth working towards and continuing to pursue.
When it comes to relationships, however, wisdom lies in taking time to breathe before speaking or acting lest we find ourselves with a HUGE foot in our mouth that looks like our own. It will be easy to say or do the ‘wrong’ thing during this time, especially with loved ones. IF they are reasonably awake, it will open a door to more conversation and possibly (probably) more intimacy. BUT IF they are asleep at the wheel, they could end up ‘out of your life.’
This brings us to the next theme of this time period – letting go of what no longer serves you. Aren’t you sick of hearing that one? Don’t you sometimes feel all you do is let go? It doesn’t mean you have to throw out your favorite well-worn slippers, be happy your husband left you or you lost your house or your job. It CAN mean all of this, but it’s really a more internal process.
It really means learning detachment and objectivity towards yourself and your life. It means letting go of attitudes, beliefs, and habits of thought that keep you stuck.
Everything that happens to us and yes, I DO mean everything, can be used for growth and transformation. Trust me, 26 years ago, if I hadn’t believed that, I never would have survived. I wouldn’t be the person I am now writing this blog for my website.
Remember, this is a play and you wrote it. As the author, you can re-write it. Rather than seeing LOSS, reframe to OPENING FOR SOMETHING NEW TO COME IN. I know it’s not easy, but you signed up for this. This life is your soul’s classroom. You stood in line to incarnate in order to have THIS LIFE as unbelievable as this may sound to you at times.
Remember the goal is ENLIGHTENMENT!
